Description
Una expedición de la U-NASA llamada BUGS II se dirige a Marte debido al percance que hubo al perder la comunicación con la nave BUGS I que inicialmente era la encargada de revisar la terraformación de Marte llevada a cabo por los humanos 500 años atrás.
Cuando llegan al planeta se encuentran con las cucarachas (junto al musgo los únicos seres que habÃan enviado para la terraformación) muy evolucionados, teniendo apariencia humanoide de mayor tamaño que un humano medio, incluso más ágiles, fuertes y resistentes. Estas demuestran ser irracionalmente agresivas y atacan a los tripulantes de la misión.
Los misioneros, a quienes sus oficiales les habÃan sometido a una cirugÃa llamada procedimiento insecto por medio de la cuál a los pacientes se les inserta ADN de insectos especÃficos en su sangre, intentan luchar contra las super-evolucionados cucarachas.
